Power Punch Parkinson’s
In partnership with Denver Parks & Recreation and the Parkinson’s Association of the Rockies, we’re excited to announce our new Power Punch Parkinson's class, which is a non-contact boxing class offered to individuals with Parkinson's every Monday at the Montclair Recreation Center. Led by our co-founder and Lead Trainer, Carlos Rodriguez, this class is open to anyone with Parkinson’s and you do not need to be an existing member of the Montclair Recreation Center to participate in your first class. We look forward to seeing you there and working up a sweat together!
*The class is offered at no charge for individuals with Parkinson's. To attend a class, participants will just need to register for the class via this link. They can also see the full class schedule here for all of the classes. The class has been changed from Monday to Friday as of February 15th.
Unite To Fight: Charity Boxing Event ft. Function Wellness
We’re excited to share that our Head of Programming and Lead Trainer, Emma Dominguez-Millan, was selected to participate in a charity boxing event on Saturday, June 1st at the Boulder Theater called Unite To Fight. Unite To Fight is Boulder’s only amateur charity boxing event where community heroes step into the boxing ring to raise awareness and donations for a nonprofit close to their hearts. For this event, we are raising funds for Function, our non-profit organization, to allow us to support more at-risk youth and scale our programming to more areas in Denver. This event is operated by The Corner Boxing Club, a nonprofit organization that offers diverse boxing classes and programs that are open to all members of the community and cater to all levels of experience. They are a registered 501c3 and female-owned organization.
Help us reach our donation goal of $10k! Our donation page can be found here. All funds donated will go to the non-profit arm of Function Wellness to support our efforts in helping local youth from underserved communities in Denver to access our programs.
